The Hope Through Truth ministry was established in 2003 as the result of a burden for the neglected youth of Kentucky who are incarcerated within the juvenile justice system of our state. It is the goal of Hope Through Truth to reach into this system with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to share the truth of salvation with these troubled youth.

Since the birth of this ministry, Hope Through Truth has reached hundreds of juveniles with the message of Christ’s love for them. To this day, God continues to provide
Bro. Wells with an open door into these facilities; to disciple those who have come to the knowledge of Christ, and to share the gospel with those who have not yet been redeemed.

One of the mixed blessings of this type of ministry is the great “turn-over” of population; Bro. Wells has the opportunity to look into new faces each and every week.

The Lord has afforded us the great blessing of providing these youth detention facilities with copies of the King James Bible as well as other Bible based literature to help them grow in God’s grace. Often times, the ministry goes beyond the incarcerated young person and reaches into the family unit. In at least one instance, a young man trusted Christ and within a few days was telling his mother about the grace of God and what the Lord could do for her.

Please pray for Hope Through Truth that God will continue to open doors for this ministry as it reaches out to the forgotten, incarcerated youth within the state of Kentucky.
